CLCS III Recommended by Regulators

A top ten U.S. bank has completed an extensive effort to migrate its entire commercial real estate loan portfolio to the CLCS III System. The motivation for this effort came on the recommendation of regulators  for standardization of processes and funding controls.

Data Select Systems, Inc. - 28th Anniversary

On February 2, 2010, Data Select will celebrate its 28th Anniversary.

Expertise, strength, and trust over the past 28 years have built Data Select into the company it is today.

Data Select has a large client base in the banking industry of North America, and its CLCS III  System is the standard for construction loan control. CLCS III  commands a 50% market share, servicing over $400 billion in construction loan outstandings across the U.S., Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Canada.

CLCS III - Release 3.0

Release 3.0 of CLCS III is installed in production at a global pilot client. Release 3.0 will be installed for all new clients (server and mainframe) starting in January 2010.

With this release, Data Select has positioned the CLCS III System for global use as well as for 3rd party servicing by its clients.

CLCS III - Control of Defaulting Loans

Data Select is actively assisting clients with a need to utilize CLCS III for control of defaulting loans.

Non-performing, foreclosed, and REO assets are controlled on CLCS III. This functionality was developed during the Savings and Loan crisis, when CLCS III was the "system of record" for the RTC.

CLCS III - 2010 New Business

So far in 2010, three nationwide U.S. banking organizations and Canada's largest bank holding company are implementing the CLCS III System to standardize their construction loan control.  In addition, a large global banking organization has joined the expanding CLCS client base.

Former CLCS Users (alumni) and Business Partners continue to drive expansion of the CLCS client base.

In addition to new business, current clients are expanding the use of CLCS across their enterprises with the addition of business units, portfolios, and interfaces.

CLCS III - Website Integration

Borrower customer service has been enhanced for CLCS III clients through website integration. This integration is expected to reduce servicing costs by providing near real-time access to servicing information.

CLCS III - Oracle/MS SQL Integration

Eleven CLCS III client banks have now installed the Oracle/Microsoft SQL Integration Module.  The benefits of this integration module for CLCS III clients include near real-time information for management decision-making and website customer service.

CLCS III - Superior Rating

Once again, the CLCS III  System received a superior rating by the internal auditors of a nationwide banking organization. This rating is based on:

  •   Maintainability

  •   Risk management

  •   Fail-safe transaction  processing

CLCS Users Conferences

"CLCS - A sure fit in uncertain times" was the theme for the 2009 CLCS Users Conference held in Westlake Village, California, in May. Timely to this theme was the opportunity to share just-completed research on national construction lending reengineering efforts underway at a number of the largest banks and at several community banks.

A one-day Conference for Puerto Rico clients was also held in 2009 at Bahia Beach Resort in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. This inaugural event provided CLCS users in Puerto Rico the opportunity to share their unique market and regulatory needs with Data Select's management.

Looking ahead for the new year, the 2010 CLCS Users Conference will be held in Westlake Village, California, May 16-20.

Data Select - Business Partnerships

Data Select is continuing to build strong business partnerships with the top U.S. financial service organizations. One such partnership has 20 common clients.
